He Shared a Final Message With Followers

On the day he died, Hardin posted a farewell on Instagram addressed to his followers. In the image he thanked people and expressed regret that he couldn’t continue, and his caption indicated he had been hurt by someone close to him.

"He had this rare ability to light up any room — his courage and warmth were felt by so many," a close friend later wrote in tribute.

Asura later commented that Hardin's roommates broke down the door and called paramedics, but authorities were unable to resuscitate him. In the Instagram comments, Hardin’s roommate also noted a gathering in his honor would take place on Sept. 12.

Best Friend Remembers His Impact

On Sept. 8, Asura posted a lengthy tribute with photos of the pair, recalling Hardin's vibrant presence and the positive influence he had on those around him. The message praised his confidence and how he raised the bar for his community through visibility and fearlessness.

Asura and others emphasized the ways Hardin built connection and joy through performance — a theme echoed across comments from friends and fellow performers who responded to the news.

His Work and Openness About Depression

Hardin built an audience as an adult content creator and as a burlesque performer under the moniker LuLu LoveBottom. Before performing, he played high school football and later spoke about his transition from athletics to stage work.

In a March 2025 interview with Out Sports, Hardin explained how performing allowed him to blend aspects of femininity and masculinity and described the gym and sports as important outlets during struggles with depression. He also discussed his LuLu persona in a separate 2025 conversation with Queerty, noting the emotional complexity behind his work.
