An Altoona resident has landed in hot water after a shocking incident involving underage viewers. Justin Ohler, 41, allegedly showed a sexually explicit horror film to three children in Perry Township. The movie, marked with an R rating for its explicit content including nudity, violence, drug use, and strong language, also contained a scene involving rape.
The situation came to light when the children relayed the disturbing experience to another adult, who then reported it to the authorities. According to police sources, Ohler acknowledged that the movie was not suitable for young eyes but claimed he attempted to skip over the inappropriate scenes. These actions, however, have not shielded him from legal consequences.
“The movie was definitely not meant for children, and it has now led to serious charges,” said a source familiar with the case.
Now, Ohler is facing significant legal challenges. He has been charged with corruption of minors and dissemination of sexually explicit material to a minor. These charges underscore the severity of exposing children to such content, regardless of intentions to skip certain scenes. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding minors from harmful media exposure.
