First Look: 'Do You Like Big Girls?' Teases NSFW Visuals

Anime fans, get ready to embrace something bold and new! The upcoming anime adaptation of Do You Like Big Girls? has just dropped a tantalizing first trailer, along with its opening song and a rather daring NSFW visual. Set to make its broadcast debut on April 5, the anime is already generating buzz with its dual version releases. AnimeFesta will pre-release both the uncensored "premium version" and the "on-air" censored version on March 13. Additionally, OceanVeil will premiere the first episode on March 13 at 1:00 a.m. PDT.

The opening theme, "Sekai ni Hitotsu no Grift," performed by Mitsuki Nakae, sets the stage for what is sure to be an engaging series. Studio Hokiboshi, known for its work on adult-themed anime like Adam’s Sweet Agony and Overflow, is taking the helm on this animation project.

“With Studio Hokiboshi’s track record, viewers can expect a visually compelling and provocative series,” shared an excited fan on social media.

Meet the Cast and Crew Behind the Anime

Fans of the manga have been eagerly awaiting this adaptation since Suiseisha first announced it last year. Do You Like Big Girls? boasts a talented voice cast that brings its characters to life, including Rin Hinishi as Sota Tachibana, Sui Mizushiro as Ayano Hasegawa, Aki Nagatsuki as Kyoka Teshigawara, and more. The production team is headlined by director Sota Warai, sound director Akinori Shiba, and series composer Eeyo Kurosaki, promising a well-rounded creative vision.

This anime follows the story of Sota Tachibana, a vertically-challenged college student who finds himself managing a women’s volleyball team. What ensues is a comedic yet perilous adventure as Sota navigates an all-female environment where every day presents its own unique challenges.

From Manga Pages to Anime Screens

Goro Aizome, the original creator, both wrote and illustrated Do You Like Big Girls?, which ran in Takeshobo’s Monthly Kissca until its closure in 2022. The manga, now serialized on Takecomic, has been compiled into eight volumes and is available in English through Seven Seas Entertainment’s Ghost Ship imprint. This adaptation follows on the heels of a 2020 live-action film, continuing the story's journey through various media.

As the premiere date approaches, anticipation builds for how this unique narrative will unfold on screen, blending humor, drama, and a touch of risqué flair. Whether you’re a fan of the manga or new to the story, Do You Like Big Girls? is poised to deliver an unforgettable experience.
