Baylen Dupree is back and as lively as ever in the season 2 premiere of TLC's hit series, Baylen Out Loud. On October 7, viewers were reintroduced to the 22-year-old star, whose life with Tourette syndrome has captivated many since her diagnosis five years ago. This time, Dupree reunites with her family and fiancé, Colin Dooley, for an unforgettable Easter celebration.
The episode follows Baylen and Colin as they head out to an alpaca farm, where they meet up with her parents and brothers. The reunion is filled with joy and, unsurprisingly, a few of Baylen's NSFW tics. Her excitement bubbles over, leading her to amusingly declare to her fiancé and siblings, "You suck d--- for a living." The family takes her outbursts in stride, with her mother Julie and father Allen laughing at the unexpected comments.
As the family enjoys their time at the farm, Baylen candidly shares the impact of her emotions on her tics. "I'm just really excited. My tics get a little bit more when I'm excited," she explains, emphasizing that her heightened tics aren't caused by distress but by pure joy.
"From where you are right now [compared] to where you were? Amazing," her dad, Allen, praised Baylen's progress, crediting Colin for being a supportive presence in her life.
Her parents and Colin reflect on her incredible journey, from her Tourette diagnosis to her growth and self-assurance today. Allen believes that Colin has positively impacted Baylen's self-confidence.
Adding to the heartwarming moments, Baylen surprises Colin with a homemade birthday cake. Colin, touched by the gesture, expresses his pride in her efforts, noting how hard she worked to improve her independence by spending all day in the kitchen.
Her mom, Julie, is equally impressed, calling the cake-making moment "surreal" and "unbelievable." She marvels at Baylen's journey over the years, from where she started to the confident woman she's becoming.
Since her diagnosis in 2020, Baylen has used her rapidly growing social media presence to educate and challenge misconceptions about Tourette syndrome. With over 10 million TikTok followers and 2 million on Instagram, she's become a powerful advocate. Her relationship with Colin began on a dating app in November 2022, culminating in an engagement announcement to PEOPLE in February.
