Cybertip Sparks Investigation

Bensalem Police took swift action after a disturbing cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children landed in their inbox. On Thursday, April 2, they arrested Raul "Christian" Sandoval Jr., 34, and his father, Raul Sandoval Sr., 58. The duo faces serious charges related to child sexual abuse material after over 100 illicit images were uncovered.

The investigation kicked off with suspicions surrounding an apartment at Salem Crossing, where both men resided. Authorities executed a search warrant on March 12, seizing critical evidence including a computer and a phone.

What They Found

Forensic experts combed through the digital devices, uncovering a trove of disturbing material. Sandoval Jr.'s computer revealed over 100 images depicting girls aged 6 to 12 in compromising situations. Meanwhile, Sandoval Sr.'s phone contained images of a young girl, around 10 or 11, engaged in sexual acts with an adult.

“These charges highlight a disturbing reality and underscore the importance of vigilant digital monitoring,” noted a community safety advocate.

The father and son were promptly charged with Sexual Abuse of Children and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility. After voluntarily surrendering to police, they were arraigned by District Justice Michael Gallagher and are currently held on a staggering $2,000,000 bail each at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Ongoing Investigation

The arrest, rooted in careful forensic examination, underscores the critical role of technology in modern investigative techniques. However, many questions remain unanswered. Authorities have yet to disclose if more victims are involved or if the illicit content had been distributed further.

As the investigation deepens, the community watches closely, hoping for swift justice. With the men behind bars, focus now shifts to understanding the full scope of their online activities and whether any broader networks were implicated.
