Kewan Hudson, aged 27, from Chillicothe, found himself in a Peoria courtroom on Thursday, where he faced serious allegations of child pornography. Opting to plead not guilty, Hudson is challenging the charges that accuse him of uploading illegal content to the internet.
His arrest came on Tuesday after authorities conducted a search of his home with a warrant. This followed a tip-off received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on July 14, pointing to Hudson's alleged online activities.
The case took a turn when the Peoria State’s Attorney’s office disclosed that during an interview, Hudson allegedly admitted that a Kik account connected to the uploaded content was his. He is accused of acknowledging that individuals sent him videos, raising further questions about his involvement.
“It’s a complex case, and as more details emerge, the public is keenly watching to see how it unfolds,” a legal analyst commented.
His next appearance in court is marked for September 18, where both prosecution and defense are expected to present further developments.
