Once raking in an impressive £10,000 a month through her adult content, Charlotte Divine's career seemed to be thriving. However, beneath the surface, the 22-year-old from Middlesbrough faced deep unhappiness and a struggle with addiction. Now, after a transformative journey of self-discovery, she has found solace in faith and sobriety.
Charlotte embarked on her adult modeling career at 18 but quickly spiraled into drug addiction within a year. Her career in X-rated content spanned three and a half years until a repressed childhood memory resurfaced, leaving her feeling disillusioned with her work. This revelation spurred her to shut down her online presence and seek solace in her newfound faith.
“Adult sites are weakening the minds of men to the point where they are slaves to their devices, to these videos and to these online 'models',” Charlotte shared.
Charlotte, who now looks back on her time in the industry with a critical eye, believes it negatively affects the dynamic between men and women. She feels that the normalization of online sex work is eroding traditional values and weakening men's roles in society.
“Men don't hold doors open anymore, they don't defend their loved ones anymore, they don't fight for what is right,” she added, expressing concern for the current state of relationships.
Today, Charlotte finds fulfillment in speaking about her experiences online, engaging with the Bible, and praying. While she no longer has a steady income, she's committed to her spiritual journey and healing from past traumas.
“For me, my path has been about building a relationship directly with God, reading the Bible for myself and praying,” Charlotte explained, emphasizing her focus on personal spirituality over organized religion.
Throughout Charlotte's journey, her family has remained a pillar of support, even when they hoped she might choose a different path. Despite their initial concerns, they stood by her, prioritizing love and acceptance.
Charlotte's story of transformation highlights the powerful impact of faith and personal growth, serving as a testament to the possibility of change, no matter one's past.
