Pornhub has just dropped its highly anticipated annual review, offering a data-rich glimpse into the world of adult-content consumption. This year's report uncovers the globe's most popular search terms, regional favorites, and fascinating demographic insights. Diversity, it seems, is the name of the game as viewer preferences shift across various regions, age brackets, genders, and sexual orientations.

For instance, in Greece and Canada, 'MILF' reigned supreme in search popularity. Meanwhile, the United States and Australia saw a surge of interest in lesbian content. Over in Russia, Greenland, and parts of Scandinavia, transgender content took the top spot. Brazil was all about Brazilian-themed content, with Northern South America favoring Ebony, while Anal searches were a hit along the western and southern coasts.

Decoding Regional and Generational Preferences

In Eastern Europe, the UK, Spain, and Portugal, MILF and Anal content consistently topped the charts. African viewers were drawn to Arab content in the north and Ebony across the rest of the continent, while the Middle East showed a strong preference for Indian themes. Across the Pacific Islands, Mongolia, and Japan, Japanese was the standout category.

“This year’s findings reveal notable shifts in user tastes, highlighting a growing embrace of diversity in adult content,” said a Pornhub representative.

Diving deeper, the platform reports an average user age of 38, with 18–24-year-olds making up the largest viewer segment at 29%. Age really does matter here: Gen Z is into Virtual Reality, Cosplay, Hentai, and Feet, Millennials can't get enough of Fetish and Role Play, Gen X finds enjoyment in categories like Fisting and Bukkake, and Boomers are all about Brunette content.

Top Searches and Traffic Drivers

In a striking repeat for the fifth year in a row, 'hentai' – rooted in Japanese manga and anime – claimed the title of Pornhub’s most-searched term worldwide, with 'milf' following closely behind. The United States still holds the crown as the platform's largest traffic source, but interestingly, Mexico jumped to the second spot while France slipped down four places due to new restrictions. The Philippines, Brazil, Germany, and the UK also feature prominently in the traffic leaderboard.
