Marriage in Trouble After 18 Days

A newlywed husband has turned to Reddit for advice after making a shocking discovery just 18 days into his marriage. The man shared that he stumbled upon topless photos of his wife, which she had sent to her ex-husband months before their wedding, leading him to seriously reconsider their union.

The couple tied the knot on October 31. However, while preparing screenshots from his wife's phone for her custody battle with her ex, he discovered some images that weren't familiar to him. "I save all the spicy photos she sends me in a private photo folder," he noted, surprised to find these particular images missing from his collection.

Uncovered Secrets and a Torn Conscience

This discovery prompted him to delve into her messages with her ex-husband. What he found shocked him even further – the photos were sent in June, after they had applied for their marriage certificate. Despite his wife's claims of a brief reconciliation with her ex during a supposed break, he couldn't recall any such break occurring.

“I obviously want a divorce as I can’t trust her,” he expressed, though he felt torn because he deeply cared for her three children.

His wife pleaded for him to reconsider, but he felt her apologies were undermined by her actions. To ensure her children weren't left in a difficult situation, he committed to paying half the rent and covering utilities, even as he contemplated ending the marriage.

Mixed Reactions and Support from Strangers

The Reddit community largely supported his decision, with one commenter stating, “NTA. Annulment. She isn’t loyal, very clearly. What’s the point in being with her if she gets the message to kick off the marriage this is okay?” Many echoed this sentiment, suggesting that her remorse seemed more about getting caught than genuine guilt.

Others highlighted the instability in the relationship as a red flag. One user remarked, “You’re in a relationship where you’re not even sure if you were ‘on a break’ or not 6 months before the wedding. It’s time to cut your losses,” emphasizing that a relationship should not resemble a sitcom plotline.
