Inside Men: The Comeback

The iconic film Inside Men is making a grand return, this time as a compelling three-part series, a decade after its original release. On October 16, Hive Media Corporation announced that the film, which once topped the charts as the highest-grossing adult-only movie in history, is getting an ambitious reboot.

Back in the late 1980s, Inside Men captivated audiences with its gripping portrayal of the intricate "Inside Men" network woven from the threads of media, money, and power. With over 9 million viewers, the film's director's cut alone solidified its place in history. Not just a box office darling, it also swept prestigious awards like Best Film at the 53rd Daejong Film Awards and the 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards.

The Creative Dream Team

Helming this new project are directors Kim Min-beom and Kim Jin-seok. Min-beom brings his experience from projects like 12.12: The Day and The Flu, while Jin-seok's credits include adapting Disney+'s Made In Korea and assisting on hits such as Harbin and The Man Standing Next. The script promises to be a thrilling ride, thanks to Lee Ki-cheol of The Thieves and Assassination fame, with Kim Hyo-seok contributing the adaptation.

“We are committed to delivering a story that is both gripping and fast-paced, ensuring audience immersion,” shared Hive Media Corporation.

On the Horizon

Having entered preproduction last year, Hive Media is poised to start filming the first two parts simultaneously this year, with the third part following next year. The cameras are expected to roll as early as the first half of this year, contingent on the finalization of the main casting choices.

Renowned for their knack for blending entertainment with art, Hive Media has a history of producing standout films like 12.12: The Day and Harbin. They are joined by co-producer SLL, known for hits across various platforms like The Outlaws series and Netflix's All of Us Are Dead, promising a production as compelling as its predecessors.

As Inside Men gears up for its comeback, the excitement is palpable, with casting in full swing and production plans gathering steam. Stay tuned for what promises to be a thrilling narrative journey.
