Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has jumped into the fray following an on-field spat involving Tennessee Titans' defensive tackle, Jeffery Simmons. The veteran player accused Jacksonville Jaguars rookie, LeQuint Allen, of uttering a not-so-family-friendly comment during their recent face-off.
As the Titans struggled against the Jaguars, falling 25-3 at their home stadium, tensions ran high. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars to victory, completing 16 of 27 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns, leaving the Titans in the dust. On the opposite side, Cam Ward's efforts came up short, with just 141 passing yards in a lackluster offensive display.
Kelce didn't seem phased by the alleged taunt. In his "New Heights" podcast, he downplayed Simmons' outrage, dismissing it as typical game-day banter. "I feel like I hear that every game," Kelce remarked. "What are we all of a sudden upset about? Jeffrey Simmons is a guy who gets very upset in games. He's an angry football player, which I like, angry football players."
"What’s up with these Tennessee players snitching? What are we doing? Come on guys. Keep doing it Jacksonville," Kelce added, making his stance clear.
Adding to the drama, Kelce's brother, Travis, chimed in about another incident: Titans running back Julius Chestnut accused Jaguars punter Logan Cooke of making threatening remarks. Jason Kelce didn't take kindly to these accusations, questioning the Titans' penchant for airing grievances.
As the Titans gear up for their Week 14 clash with the Cleveland Browns, they hope to secure their second win of the season. However, with the Browns' formidable defense looming, it's set to be another uphill battle for Ward and his teammates. Whether the Titans can leave the drama behind and focus on their game remains to be seen.
