Bailey shared that the prosthetics work was "the first thing I started thinking about" after accepting the role of Fiyero. He also joked about the physical transformation, saying, "Without the straw hair, I just looked like a big wheat penis," highlighting the elaborate makeup tests and the intricate 'plumbing' used to keep him cool under the layers of makeup.
