Lottie Moss, the younger sister of iconic supermodel Kate Moss, is stepping out of her sister's shadow and into her own light. On a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 24-year-old shared her candid experiences of growing up in the modeling world and how it affected her personally. Despite landing jobs from an early age, Lottie confessed she never truly felt like she belonged. The industry’s pressures were relentless, pushing her to change who she was just to fit in.
"I was super insecure," Lottie revealed. "As a young kid entering modeling at just 13 or 14, I faced constant pressure to lose weight. When I had to prepare for New York Fashion Week, they demanded I shrink to a 23-inch waist." Even after putting in the effort, Lottie found herself grappling with insecurities about her height and other aspects of her appearance.
Struggling with these industry demands and the environment led to deeper issues for Lottie, including exposure to drugs and alcohol. "It was just a part of the industry," she said. The pressure to perform, whether she was in the right state of mind or not, often led to using substances as a coping mechanism.
"I never felt good enough and I still struggle with feeling good enough today," Lottie admitted, highlighting the constant comparisons to her sister Kate.
After reaching a breaking point earlier this year, Lottie sought help, entering rehab to address her mental health struggles. "I was very depressed... I couldn’t get out of bed," she recounted. The decision to prioritize her well-being marked the beginning of a new chapter.
After rehab, Lottie decided to pivot away from traditional modeling and explore new opportunities. This included starting an OnlyFans page, a subscription-based platform known for its adult content. Encouraged by a friend, Lottie found it liberating. "This is fun to me," she stated, embracing the chance to express herself freely.
Despite family concerns, Lottie navigated the transition with openness, having "awkward conversations" but ultimately gaining their support. Her sister Kate's reaction was supportive too, proud that Lottie was carving her unique path.
Lottie is unapologetically herself, both in life and online. Though she enjoys creating risqué content, she draws a personal line at sex. "I'm not gonna have sex on there," she clarified, maintaining clear boundaries in her work.
Her openness extends to discussions about her sexuality. Lottie identifies as pansexual, explaining, "It doesn’t matter what gender, what sexual identity they are. I just love people." For Lottie, embracing her sexuality is part of her journey to self-liberation and empowerment.
