Fast food lovers, rejoice! McDonald's is taking a nostalgic turn with their latest update: 'adult Happy Meals' that will soon feature a dash of 90s TV magic. If you've been yearning for a taste of the past, this might just be the meal for you. Fans have been buzzing with anticipation, and now the wait is over as McDonald's reveals what’s in store.
Starting Tuesday, February 3, customers can indulge in a Friends-themed meal deal, complete with a collectable figure from the beloved sitcom. Choose from a Big Mac, Chicken McNuggets, or McPlant, all available from £9.09, although prices may vary across locations. Each meal will include one of six Friends character figures, rekindling fond memories of the iconic show.
“Whilst the collectables are probably what fans are most excited about, most of the menu is getting a Friends-themed makeover,” a McDonald's spokesperson shared.
The figures depict classic scenes: Ross with Marcel the monkey, Rachel at Central Perk, Monica as a chef, Phoebe with her guitar, and Chandler and Joey with their memorable apartment pets – the chick and duck.
But that’s not all! McDonald’s is offering a chance to win exclusive Friends-themed mugs through their app. With four unique designs, these mugs feature nods to the series’ memorable moments like the orange couch, Monica’s peephole frame, and more. They can be won during the promo period when purchasing the Friends Meal via the app.
Alongside the Friends collaboration, McDonald's is unveiling a revamped menu. Highlights include the new Tikka Chicken Wrap, available on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the returning Philly Cheese Stack, and the all-new Pizza Mozzarella Dippers with Monica’s Marinara Sauce. For dessert lovers, the Milkybar Crispy Cookie McFlurry and Munchies Vanilla Cheesecake McFlurry are new additions, while the Chocolate Brownie Pie makes a comeback.
This collaboration is a sweet escape for fans, especially in light of recent price hikes like the hash brown, which has sparked online chatter after reaching nearly £2 in some locations. McDonald's is certainly keeping fans engaged with this blend of food nostalgia and TV gold.
