Canadian and Spanish ice dancer Olivia Smart is making waves at the 2026 Winter Olympics – and not just for her impressive moves on the ice. The two-time Winter Olympian took to TikTok on Friday, February 6, to share some essential info with her fans and fellow athletes: the location of the free condoms in the Olympic Village.
In the playful video, Smart explains, “So, for anybody wondering about the Olympic condoms, I found them.” She goes on to reveal that these branded prophylactics can be found in the space where athletes can rent appliances like hair dryers. The ice dancer humorously added that the village has everything an athlete might need, including tampons.
“Yes, there are OLYMPIC condoms,” Smart captioned her video, confirming the availability of these sought-after items.
It seems Smart’s discovery is part of a long-standing Olympic tradition. Back in Paris 2025, Olympic-branded condoms were a big hit. Laurent Dalard, in charge of first aid and health services for the 2024 Summer Games, revealed that organizers provided 200,000 male condoms, 20,000 female condoms, and 10,000 oral dams to ensure athletes had access to safe sex resources.
Dalard likened the Olympic Village environment to a college campus – lively and a bit wild. He emphasized the importance of safe sex, especially when so many athletes gather in one dynamic place.
These Olympics are not just about competition – they're also a hotspot for quirky tales. The rumored "anti-sex" beds have been a talking point since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Constructed from cardboard, these eco-friendly beds were originally thought to deter intimacy among athletes, but that theory was quickly debunked by viral videos from athletes like gymnast Rhys McClenaghan.
McClenaghan's playful videos showed him bouncing on the beds to prove their strength, even claiming, "It’s fake, fake news!" Similar tests were conducted at the 2024 Paris Olympics, confirming the beds' durability, which are part of a recycling initiative and can support up to 440 pounds.
While the Olympic spirit is all about pushing limits, it's clear that both the beds and the athletes continue to withstand the test of time.
