OnlyFans Income Sparks Legal Trouble

A 34-year-old woman from Canandaigua, Shameika Brown-Junious, finds herself at the center of a legal storm after being accused of concealing income from her OnlyFans account to receive public assistance benefits. OnlyFans is a popular platform where creators can monetize their content, often through subscriptions from fans.

The Investigation

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office arrested Brown-Junious on Friday following an in-depth investigation initiated by a fraud referral from the county's Department of Social Services. Officials contend that between January 2023 and June 2026, Brown-Junious failed to declare earnings generated from her OnlyFans activities. As a result, she allegedly received $17,656.58 more in Temporary Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits than she was entitled to.

Charges and Court Proceedings

Brown-Junious faces a series of charges, including seven counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, as well as one count each of third-degree welfare fraud and third-degree grand larceny.
