OnlyFans sensation Karlee Marie Ironside is making headlines for all the wrong reasons, as she faced the Southport Magistrates Court for a digital tirade against her former nanny. The 34-year-old influencer pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to menace, harass, or cause offence, following a series of incendiary Instagram posts that had her former employee in the crosshairs.
Originally seen as a self-styled vigilante, Ironside believed she was acting as a "Today Tonight crusader" when she shared multiple harassing posts. The court proceedings revealed a tangled relationship, with Ironside apologizing for any harm caused and hinting at untold elements of the story. Her lawyer, Michael Gatenby, recommended she hold back further comments, signaling a strategic retreat on Ironside’s part.
During the court hearing, detailed accounts emerged of how the nanny arrangement spiraled into chaos by March 2024. The nanny, initially hired as an educator, found herself overburdened, working nearly non-stop for Ironside. Tensions boiled over when Ironside denied her a day off, prompting the nanny’s resignation and triggering the Instagram storm.
“I’m literally going to come tonight thinking about how I’m going to murder this m*****f*****,” Ironside allegedly posted, escalating the online feud to alarming levels.
The influencer posted four times over 16 days, including claims of criminal behavior and false allegations about the nanny’s personal life. While the posts have since been removed, the impact lingered, propelling this private dispute into the public domain.
Despite initially preparing for a hearing, the case was settled with both sides agreeing on penalties. Ironside has been placed on an 18-month good behavior order with a $600 recognisance. Her legal counsel highlighted her generous financial support to the nanny, which included gifts such as a car and a mobile phone, yet acknowledged her inappropriate behavior.
Ironside, who boasts nearly 200,000 followers on Instagram and accolades from the Adult Industry Choice Awards, expressed her decision to plead guilty stemmed from her responsibilities as a mother. She openly praised her lawyer, saying, “Michael Gatenby, you’re the O.G.”
As the dust settles, the case serves as a stark reminder of the power social media wields, and the devastating consequences that can follow when personal grievances spill online.
