According to Pornhub’s Year in Review for 2025, the PS5 accounted for a staggering 66% of all gaming console traffic to the site. For Sony, this marks another victory in the console competition, as the PS5's predecessor, the PlayStation 4, also held a solid 32% of the market share for this particular activity.

Xbox's Surprising Decline

Meanwhile, Xbox consoles seem to have taken a backseat in this arena. Shockingly, only 2% of Pornhub's console traffic came from Xbox devices in 2025 – both the latest Series X|S models and the older Xbox One. This represents a dramatic 69% decline from Xbox’s 2024 figures, essentially erasing its presence in this niche market.

For instance, the Meta Quest VR headset saw a 47.5% increase in traffic, indicating a growing interest in virtual reality, even if it is primarily for adult content consumption. Although Meta's broader aspirations for the Metaverse might have stalled, VR's popularity seems to be surging, at least within this context.
