Pornhub's Generous Offer Amidst Global Lockdown

Adult entertainment giant Pornhub is joining the fight against COVID-19 by offering free access to its Premium service globally. In a move to encourage people to stay indoors and practice social distancing, the site launched this initiative on March 24, allowing users to sign up via a dedicated "stay home" page and enjoy Premium content for a whole month.

“With nearly one billion people in lockdown across the world because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s important that we lend a hand and provide them with an enjoyable way to pass the time," said Corey Price, Vice President of Pornhub, in a press release.

Price expressed hope that this offer would give people an extra incentive to remain home and contribute to flattening the curve.

Supporting Performers and First Responders

Pornhub's efforts extend beyond just offering free content. Recognizing the financial impact on performers due to the pandemic, the company is providing them with 100% of their video sales (minus a 15% processing fee) throughout April. This generosity applies to both Pornhub and Modelhub, ensuring that creators receive a substantial 85% payout.

Charitable Contributions in a Time of Need

Pornhub is also stepping up to support those on the front lines of the pandemic. The site is donating 15,000 surgical masks each to FDNY's EMTs and paramedics, and to the Uniformed Firefighters Association Local 94 of New York City. Additionally, Mount Sinai South Nassau receives 20,000 masks, while €50,000 aids various European organizations in purchasing more protective gear.

Joe Calderone, Senior VP at Mount Sinai, expressed gratitude, stating, "These masks are mission critical in the fight against the COVID pandemic."

With efforts like these, Pornhub is playing a significant role in supporting both the entertainment industry and healthcare sector during these challenging times.
