Taylor Momsen's Bold Fashion Statement at NYFW

Taylor Momsen, the multitalented musician and actress, made a jaw-dropping appearance at New York Fashion Week, proving once again that her rocker persona is here to stay. The former Gossip Girl star, now 31, attended the KidSuper Funny Business comedy and fashion show on September 9, making headlines for her daring outfit choice.

In an outfit that screamed rock and roll, Momsen opted to go topless beneath a striking all-black ensemble, showcasing her toned abs and covering up with pasties resembling duct tape. Her signature style was complemented by a bold mauve smokey eye, contoured cheeks, and her hair flowing in loose waves.

Embracing Her Rocker Roots

Momsen has always marched to the beat of her own drum, both on and off the red carpet. As the lead singer of The Pretty Reckless, she’s known for her adventurous fashion choices. In a previous interview with PEOPLE, she reflected on her past style choices, calling them a natural part of her rebellious teen years. "I was a little wild," she said, "but rock and roll was never a phase."

“I grew and I matured. But rock and roll was never a phase.”

Though she's known for her music more than her red carpet appearances, Momsen’s bold style has often been a talking point. Whether it's onstage or at high-profile events, her aesthetic is unmistakably hers, with slip dresses, moto jackets, and a statement smokey eye rounding out her look.

Rocking On and Off the Stage

While appearances at such events are few and far between for Momsen, she ensures each one leaves a lasting impression. Her rock star vibe carried through to her performances, recently opening the AC/DC Power Up Tour in Europe with her band. Her sartorial choices continue to reflect her fearless approach to both music and fashion.
