Teyana Taylor Talks Love and Career

Teyana Taylor is no stranger to mixing business with pleasure. In a candid chat with Vanity Fair, she opened up about the ups and downs of working with her boyfriend, actor Aaron Pierre. The conversation took place during a playful "Lie Detector Test" segment, guided by none other than her co-star, Kim Kardashian.

When Kim, 45, probed if there were any drawbacks to collaborating on her "Long Time" music video with Pierre, Taylor, 34, didn’t hold back. “I think the only con is that I couldn’t take him down anywhere I wanted,” she confessed, drawing a knowing nod from Kardashian. "Other than that, everything was pros and gos," Taylor added with a laugh.

A Blossoming Romance

Taylor and Pierre have been the talk of the town since they went public with their romance in June. The duo was first spotted together at several star-studded events, fueling speculation about their relationship. They confirmed their status when Taylor shared a sweet Instagram tribute to Pierre on his birthday, just days after the release of her "Long Time" music video.

The couple has since made their red carpet debut on September 16 at the premiere of Taylor's film, "One Battle After Another." Pierre later told Men’s Health that standing by Taylor was "so easy" because it was all about supporting someone he loves. "Being on the red carpet with Teyana was a joy," he said, "and so easy to do because I was supporting someone who I love. Anything that feels right feels easy."

Balancing Privacy and Public Life

The pair has been careful about how much of their private lives they share with the public. During a recent appearance on "Sherri," Taylor admitted to feeling shy when discussing her relationship. Similarly, Pierre told Men’s Health about being a private person, emphasizing the importance of privacy for him and his son from a previous relationship.

“I’ve been actively encouraging myself to step out of my comfort zone,” Pierre remarked, “but I am fiercely protective of my son and his privacy.”

Taylor, who has two daughters with her ex-husband, former NBA player Iman Shumpert, echoed similar sentiments on maintaining a balance between public and family life. With her latest projects "All’s Fair" premiering on Hulu on November 4 and "One Battle After Another" in theaters, Taylor continues to captivate audiences both on and off-screen.
