Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre have been the talk of the town since going public with their romance in June. The buzz heightened with the release of Taylor's "Long Time" music video, where Pierre took center stage as her love interest. In a lighthearted segment with Vanity Fair, Taylor didn't hold back when discussing the mix of work and love.
While participating in Vanity Fair's "Lie Detector Test," hosted by none other than Kim Kardashian, Taylor was asked about the pros and cons of working with her significant other. Her answer was both candid and cheeky. “I think the only con is that I couldn’t take him down anywhere I wanted,” she quipped, causing Kardashian to nod with a knowing "Mhmm." Despite this playful con, Taylor affirmed that their collaboration was "all pros and gos."
Fans first caught wind of Taylor and Pierre's romance back in February, but it was her Instagram post in June that confirmed the relationship. The couple has been inseparable at public events, including their red carpet debut for Taylor's latest film, One Battle After Another. In an October interview with Men’s Health, Pierre spoke fondly of their red carpet moment, calling it a "joy" and highlighting the ease of supporting someone he loves.
“Being on the red carpet with Teyana was a joy,” Pierre shared. “And so easy to do because I was supporting someone who I love. Anything that feels right feels easy.”
Despite their public appearances, both Taylor and Pierre prefer to keep certain aspects of their lives private. On a September episode of Sherri, Taylor avoided delving into personal details, stating simply, “I feel good, and it feels good to feel good.” Pierre echoed this sentiment in his Men’s Health interview, expressing his desire for privacy, especially concerning his son from a previous relationship.
"Being a father is my greatest joy and my greatest privilege," Pierre said. "He’s my everything. But I am fiercely protective of my son and his privacy. Everybody has respected that, and the gratitude I feel for that is immeasurable.”
Taylor, a mother of two with her ex-husband Iman Shumpert, shares this protective instinct, often choosing to cherish her family moments away from the public eye.
