The eagerly anticipated fifth and final season of The Boys is set to hit screens next year, marking the end of the satirical superhero saga. During the announcement at CCXP Brazil, excitement filled the air as stars Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone, and Colby Minifie, along with showrunner Eric Kripke, joined over 3,000 fans at the Thunder Stage to unveil the news.
The panel took a nostalgic journey through the series' most jaw-dropping moments, before premiering an official teaser for the upcoming season. The Boys, based on the New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, promises a thrilling finale under their executive production.
Prime Video teases a heart-pounding climax, with the narrative revolving around Homelander's chaotic rule. "In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims," reads the plot synopsis. This season sees Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie trapped in a "Freedom Camp," while Annie struggles to lead a resistance against the seemingly invincible Supes.
“It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen,” promises the teaser.
Adding to the tension, Kimiko has vanished, and Butcher resurfaces with a virus potent enough to annihilate all Supes, triggering a series of events that will irrevocably alter the world.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer, as Season Five kicks off on April 8 with a double episode drop. Following that, a new episode will be released each week, leading up to the grand finale on May 20. Prime Video will exclusively stream the season across more than 240 countries and territories, making the much-awaited conclusion accessible to audiences worldwide.
Meanwhile, buzz continues around The Boys crew, with one star revealing past attempts to don Superman’s cape, and whispers of Season 4’s most daring NSFW scene yet stirring intrigue.
