Manchester Law Firm Offers New Support to OnlyFans Stars

Blackmont Legal, based in Manchester, is stepping up to support adult content creators on OnlyFans as the platform's popularity continues to soar. With more individuals turning to OnlyFans to boost their income, the firm has noted an uptick in requests for legal representation.

The law firm has launched specialist services aimed at offering legal protection to models and agencies operating in the adult content space. This move addresses a crucial gap in support for creators who, despite earning impressive sums, often lack access to essential legal and financial advice. "Creators are running full-scale operations," says Zohaib Hashim, founder and CEO of Blackmont Legal. "They generate significant income, but most have never had access to proper legal or financial advice. That lack of support leaves them vulnerable.”

Legal Hurdles in the Creator Economy

With some top OnlyFans creators raking in over £20,000 a month, there is concern over improper contracts and poor working conditions. Blackmont Legal aims to help creators navigate these issues by understanding contracts, managing taxes, and building compliant businesses. These creators face similar legal and financial challenges as those on other social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, though the nature of their content and their rapid success present unique hurdles.

“Once they understand that, everything changes. They become confident, independent, and well protected,” Hashim adds, citing the transformative impact of proper guidance.

Industry data reveals that mid-level OnlyFans creators in the UK can earn between £2,000 and £10,000 monthly, with top performers exceeding £20,000. As of November 2025, there are 22,790 OnlyFans creators in the UK, highlighting the platform's expanding reach. Yet, many creators operate without contracts, VAT registration, or a clear grasp of their tax obligations, part of a burgeoning "under economy" that sits outside traditional employment structures.

Bridging the Gap with Financial Literacy

Blackmont Legal is dedicated to helping creators and agencies forge fair and transparent agreements, ensuring that models maintain control over their earnings and image rights. "I see it every week," Hashim notes. "A creator might be earning well but has no idea how to manage VAT or protect their earnings with a proper contract."

Many in this digital workforce come from non-traditional backgrounds and have never received formal financial education. As self-employed professionals, they must navigate complex tax systems, including self-employment taxes and meticulous record-keeping to avoid hefty penalties. "Too many professionals treat these creators as outsiders," Hashim states. "But they are entrepreneurs building brands and livelihoods. They deserve the same clarity and respect as anyone else in business."
