Annie Knight has earned quite the reputation as “Australia’s most sexually active woman” through her headline-grabbing antics on OnlyFans and during Schoolies. Now, this 29-year-old self-proclaimed “promiscuous princess” is stepping into the reality TV limelight with her role in Stan’s latest series, Turned On: Dirty Sexy Money. But for Annie, this isn't her first brush with reality TV aspirations.
In a candid chat with the podcast Villain Edit, Annie shared that appearing on a reality show has been a lifelong dream. Unfortunately, her career in adult content creation has often been a roadblock. "I’ve applied for pretty much all of them," she admitted. "They all said, ‘We love you, we want you on the show, but you need to delete your OnlyFans.’" Annie stood her ground, deciding not to sacrifice her primary source of income for a fleeting moment of TV fame.
Annie isn’t alone in her reality TV ambitions. Her Turned On co-star, Lily Phillips, has also had her fair share of close calls with reality TV stardom. Speaking on Villain Edit, the British creator recounted her own near-misses in the reality world. "I got offered Dating Naked UK. I was like, I’m not going to be naked for free, come on!" she laughed. Lily also revealed she applied for Love Island UK but didn’t make the cut, jokingly adding that she’d "probably end up shagging the whole cast" anyway.
Despite their TV rejections, Annie and Lily are making waves with Turned On: Dirty Sexy Money, which has already stirred up social media backlash. Notably, Married At First Sight 2026 bride Stella Mickunaite criticized the show for its sexualized content being on a national platform. "Look, all power to the girls who are free to do this, absolute freedom of choice," Stella noted on Instagram. "But glamorising it to young and impressionable people and being advertised via channels here doesn’t sit well with me."
"I think the show shows every single part of the industry — the good, the bad, the ugly," said Lily in response to the backlash. "So, I wouldn’t exactly say we’re pushing it in front of young and impressionable people when we’re showing all the bad parts as well."
For those interested, Turned On: Dirty Sexy Money is streaming now on Stan, with new episodes dropping every Friday.
