OnlyFans model Kamryn Renae, known for her adventurous spirit, found herself in a harrowing situation while hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Her attempt to scale Mount Whitney, the U.S.'s tallest peak at 14,505 feet, took a dramatic turn, necessitating a rescue operation that involved a helicopter.
Renae had been chronicling her adventure from Mexico to Canada on social media, sharing her excitement about tackling Mount Whitney. However, things took a turn for the worse when she became ill midway through her ascent. Renae, who had limited mountain climbing experience, found herself unable to continue or descend the mountain safely.
As Renae attempted to push forward, she was forced to set up camp on a steep cliff just two miles from the summit. Her condition deteriorated, leading her to vomit continuously, making a descent impossible. Thankfully, a group of passing hikers found her the next day, and she managed to signal for help.
The situation escalated to the point where a helicopter evacuation was necessary. Renae shared clips of her rescue, including footage of her being carried on a stretcher to the helicopter. "Yeah, so then I had to get helicoptered out of the mountain," she later recounted to her followers. "I was brought to the hospital, do testing and stuff."
“I'm not sure you got sick from water. It sounds like you had altitude sickness. Especially if you have never climbed a taller mountain,” one commenter observed.
Tests at the hospital revealed that Renae’s sudden illness was likely due to consuming contaminated water, although some speculated it might have been altitude sickness. Her Instagram post received mixed reactions, with some offering words of support and others giving her advice about high-altitude hiking.
Three days after the incident, Renae appeared rejuvenated in a fresh set of Instagram photos, captioned "Trail Diva," showcasing her resilience. Meanwhile, the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office has been contacted for additional comments on the rescue operation.
