Shocking Discovery in South Jordan

In a troubling case from South Jordan, Utah, a 42-year-old man has been arrested after allegations surfaced that he harbored a runaway teenager in his shed. The suspect, identified as Brandon Lee Jolley, is accused of engaging in sexual activities with the 17-year-old and providing her with drugs and alcohol.

Authorities acted on a tip-off from the Taylorsville Police Department on July 6, indicating the presence of the teen in Jolley's shed. Upon their arrival, South Jordan Police discovered the young girl along with evidence of substance use, including empty beer cans and drug paraphernalia.

Allegations and Arrest

Jolley, who has since been charged with unlawful sexual conduct, child endangerment, offering alcohol to a minor, and harboring a runaway, reportedly communicated with the teenager via Instagram for nearly a year. Despite his denial of any physical contact, the teen claimed that Jolley had been sexually involved with her since she was 15 and that he supplied her with methamphetamine and alcohol.

“These charges are quite serious and highlight significant concerns regarding the safety and well-being of vulnerable minors,” said a representative for child protection services.

Following an in-depth investigation involving security footage and interviews, Jolley was detained and is currently held without bail at the Salt Lake County Jail, pending further legal proceedings. The public is reminded that charges are merely allegations and that Jolley is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
