In a chilling case that rocked Italy, banker Davide Fontana's prison sentence has been escalated to life for the murder of 26-year-old Carol Maltesi. The case, which initially concluded in 2023, involved Fontana luring the model on OnlyFans, only to later kill her in January 2022. The reason behind the gruesome act? Maltesi's wish to relocate and be with her 6-year-old son in Veneto.

Fontana's deception began online, using a fake profile to connect with Maltesi while they were filming a sexual video. The horror unfolded when he struck her with a hammer 13 times and fatally stabbed her. After committing the murder, Fontana dismembered her body and attempted to dispose of it in various disturbing ways, including storing parts in an Amazon-purchased freezer.

“I don’t know if I will ever be forgiven for what I have done. I would really give my life to go back,” Fontana reportedly lamented during his resentencing.
