On June 26, 2026, Christopher Mendoza, a 21-year-old resident of Port Chester, New York, was charged with two felonies, as announced by Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace. The charges stem from disturbing allegations involving child sexual abuse material.
Mendoza was arraigned on Wednesday, facing accusations of Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, classified as a class D felony, and Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony. Following the arraignment, Mendoza was released on his own recognizance, awaiting further court proceedings.
The felony complaint reveals that Mendoza allegedly shared a video on Snapchat, depicting an adult male sexually abusing a young girl, estimated to be between 7 and 10 years old, on February 5, 2025. Additionally, on January 30, 2026, he reportedly possessed another video file showing a nude female child in a sexual context.
This case is being rigorously investigated by the Hi-Technology Crime Squad of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. They are joined by the New York State Police, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
District Attorney Susan Cacace underlined the commitment of her office to battling such heinous crimes.
