Jeremy Clarkson, famed for his high-speed antics on Top Gear, has taken a surprising turn into the serene world of farming. His latest project, Only Farmers, is a cleverly named booking platform that aims to revolutionize how agricultural businesses across the UK connect with tourists. Launched in May, this service is like Airbnb but with a twist – it offers unique rural experiences curated by the farmers themselves.
The platform's playful name, Only Farmers, is an amusing nod to OnlyFans, a site known primarily for adult content but also hosting diverse creators. Clarkson, 66, reportedly chose this moniker after finding that "Only Farms" was already taken. It's a name that fits Clarkson's cheeky persona perfectly, sparking curiosity and conversation right from the start.
“This is real farms. Real people. Real countryside,” enthuses Kaleb Cooper, farm manager and Only Farmers contributor.
The Only Farmers platform is designed with the agricultural community in mind. An optional tipping feature ensures that 100% of gratuities go directly to the farmers, empowering them to set their own prices and manage bookings independently. Although Clarkson's own Diddly Squat Farm isn't yet offering experiences, familiar faces from his Amazon Prime series, like Kaleb Cooper and partner Lisa Hogan, are already on board.
Clarkson's passion for farming has been on full display since he took over his Oxfordshire farm in 2019. This new venture adds to his rural empire, which includes the popular Diddly Squat Farm Shop and The Farmer's Dog pub. His endeavors have consistently attracted attention, with recent highlights including his Hawkstone Farmers Choir winning Britain's Got Talent, shining a light on mental health within the farming community.
