Allegations Unveiled: Romance Scam on OnlyFans

In a shocking twist of online romance scams, a Hunterdon County resident stands accused of exploiting the OnlyFans platform to deceive women into sending hefty sums of money. The criminal complaint reveals that Aaron M. Falvo, 24, allegedly manipulated victims into believing they were in committed relationships, coaxing them into parting with their cash.

Falvo faces serious charges including theft by deception, financial facilitation of criminal activity, and falsifying records. Authorities allege he didn't act alone – Sarah Knott from California, along with Armaan Shah and Grace Mendoza, are believed to have collaborated with Falvo, posing as him online to lure in unsuspecting victims. All three accomplices also face similar charges.

Victims Targeted with Emotional Manipulation

According to investigators, the scam ensnared several women, one of whom allegedly sent nearly $300,000 after an online romance with Falvo, which began on OnlyFans in late 2024. It's claimed that over $100,000 of this was extracted under false pretenses, with Falvo fabricating expenses for dental work, vehicles, and a future life together.

“The emotional exploitation involved here is as concerning as the financial impact,” commented a law enforcement representative.

Another woman reportedly sent more than $500, deceived into believing she was in an exclusive relationship. The group reportedly played on victims' emotions by inventing financial crises and setting "nightly goals" to pressure them into transferring money. In a twist, they even assisted one victim in opening a new bank account when fraud alerts halted her transfers.

Financial Tracks and Legal Proceedings

Evidence gathered from OnlyFans, Discord, and financial institutions showed Falvo's alleged involvement in laundering the ill-gotten gains through various accounts. The funds were used for personal acquisitions, including a pickup truck and a motorcycle, and for payments to his alleged partners in crime.

Authorities filed charges against Falvo on March 26. He was released from custody on April 7, pending ongoing legal proceedings. OnlyFans, while unable to comment on the specifics of the case, reiterated their stance against fraudulent activities as outlined in their Terms of Service.
