A new study shines a spotlight on the Michigan cities pouring money into OnlyFans, the popular subscription platform for creators. OnlyGuider, a directory and search engine for OnlyFans creators, has released data revealing where U.S. residents spend the most on the platform. In 2025, Michiganians shelled out a whopping $82 million on subscriptions, placing the state 19th nationwide in terms of spending per capita. Leading the pack nationally was the District of Columbia, with North Dakota and Nevada also in the top three. Mississippi, on the other hand, spent the least.
Among Michigan's urban centers, Grand Rapids emerged as the top spender, ranking 22nd out of 167 cities analyzed. Detroit wasn't far behind, sitting at 27th. Other Michigan cities like Lansing (94th), Warren (95th), and Sterling Heights (150th) were further down the list. The report also highlighted Wexford County as the top-spending county in Michigan, with Wayne and Menominee counties following suit.
“The thriving interest in OnlyFans content in places like Grand Rapids shows the platform's widespread appeal,” remarked an industry expert.
Nationally, the top cities investing in OnlyFans include Atlanta, Orlando, and Salt Lake City, with Las Vegas rounding out the top ten. Meanwhile, at the opposite end in Michigan, Clinton County spent a modest $44,574 per 10,000 residents, making it the least enthusiastic county in the state for OnlyFans subscriptions. It was followed closely by Livingston and Barry counties.
OnlyFans, headquartered in London, has made a name for itself as a platform where creators can share exclusive, often adult-oriented content with paying subscribers. While it has enjoyed immense popularity, the company faces ongoing scrutiny over content moderation and allegations of illegal content. Despite these challenges, OnlyFans continues to attract a considerable audience, as evidenced by the spending trends in Michigan and beyond.
